The Feathered Salmon

PICTURES FROM THE WORLD PREMIERE IN MUNICH…

The adventurous journey of Oliver Lionheart, a Feathered Salmon who set out from the Black Forest to learn from shamans and tribes in Latin America.
And who one day returns to the source to discover his own traditions.

The Feathered Salmons, a newly emerging, magical archetype, are spreading out, discovering new lands and new consciousness. Learning from shamans, medicine women, and tribes all over the world.
But they do not forget to bring this consciousness back to their own homeland one day. So that we may rediscover OUR OWN traditions.

A magical, adventurous film shot in Panama, Dubai, Bali, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Germany, and Switzerland.
Featuring the fascinating, specially composed music of Rainer Bartesch and songs by Gwairoch, Nessi Gomes, Rainer Scheurenbrand, Osiris Heyerdahl, and Lothoniel.

Produced by Gertraud Katzer, The Dreamwalker Space, Tatjana Kühr and Oliver Lionheart
Animations by Thomas Zoller

During my nearly eight years in Central and South America, I often found myself in this unpleasant situation:
‘You white people (the gringos) have destroyed our culture. Shame on you!’
And yes, I felt guilty, even though I had arrived on the scene—or rather, entered this world—several centuries later.

But one day I understood: We Europeans weren’t any better off. They had taken our druids from us, our ancestral trees, traditions, and our magic.
In Europe, they had simply done a very thorough job…
And now we Europeans, those of us who have the courage to do so, travel to the Americas to learn again from the tribes:
What it means to connect with Mother Earth. To hold a ceremony. To speak with trees, plants, and animals. To wander through the worlds.
To one day bring this deep connection back to our homeland! To help reawaken our own traditions, which await discovery in massive mountains, deep lakes, and ancient trees.

Just as the salmon, after years away, one day return to the source to spawn. Against the current and despite all dangers.

And so we, the Tribes—hand in hand & heart to heart—set out for the New World.
